Sisters of EVE Epic Arc (The Blood-Stained Stars)

The Sisters of EVE (SOE) Epic Arc, titled “The Blood-Stained Stars”, is the premier beginner storyline campaign in EVE Online. Comprising 51 consecutive missions, this narrative journey takes you across all four empire spaces and awards over 17 Million ISK, valuable storyline items, and an unprecedented +8% to +10% unpenalized faction standing bonus toward an empire of your choice.

Campaign Prerequisites & Route Planning

  • Starting Agent: Sister Alitura
  • Location: Arnon IX - Moon 3 - Sisters of EVE Bureau (Essence region, Highsec 0.6)
  • Standing Requirement: None! Any pilot with 0.0 standing can accept Mission 1.
  • Repeatable: Can be repeated every 90 days to repair negative empire standings or boost faction standing.
  • Travel Route: Spans approximately 118 stargate jumps across Highsec. A fast-aligning combat destroyer is the ideal vessel.

Destroyers boast 7 to 8 small weapon hardpoints, allowing them to swat incoming pirate frigates instantly while packing enough sustained damage to chew through cruiser hulls.

  • Caldari Cormorant: 7-8 Hybrid Railguns or Blasters. Superb kinetic/thermal range and accuracy.
  • Amarr Coercer: 8 Small Pulse Lasers. Capable of switching laser crystals instantly without reloading delay.
  • Gallente Catalyst: 8 Hybrid Blasters. The highest raw DPS destroyer in the game when fitted with close-range Antimatter.
  • Minmatar Thrasher: 7-8 Small AutoCannons or Artillery. Extremely agile, selectable damage types, and consumes zero capacitor power to fire.

Critical Mission Encounters

While most of the 51 missions are simple patrol and bounty runs, three specific missions require extra tactical preparation:

1. Mission 27: “Burning Down the Hive”

  • Threat: High-density rogue drone swarm with aggressive webbing and tracking disruption.
  • Strategy: Do not warp in and remain stationary. Immediately activate your afterburner and burn away from the warp-in beacon to string out the drone swarm. Kill the fastest approaching webifier drones first before focusing on heavy drone cruisers.

2. Mission 46: “Sealing the Deal”

  • Threat: Heavy mercenary frigate reinforcements that web and scram your ship.
  • Strategy: Keep at range (10-15 km) and eliminate electronic warfare frigates before tackling the mission objective structure.

3. Mission 50 / 51: “Our Man Dagan” (The Final Boss)

The climactic boss fight pitted against Dagan, a Society of Conscious Thought rogue commander piloting an elite cruiser (Dagan’s Gnosis archetype).

How to Break Dagan’s Tank

To defeat Dagan solo:

  1. Fit Short-Range, Maximum-Damage Ammunition:
    • Hybrid Turrets: Load Antimatter Charge S.
    • Energy Lasers: Load Multifrequency S.
    • Projectile AutoCannons: Load EMP S or Phased Plasma S (Dagan’s shield has the lowest resistance to EM and Thermal damage).
    • Missiles: Load Caldari Navy Scourge or Inferno Light Missiles.
  2. Close the Distance: Orbit Dagan at 500 to 1,000 meters with your afterburner active to maximize turret tracking and stay inside your optimal range.
  3. Overheat Your Weapons: Hold Shift and click your weapon rack to overheat your guns for a temporary +15% DPS boost. Keep an eye on rack heat damage!
  4. Call for Fleet Assistance: If your character has low gunnery support skills and falls short of 120 DPS, simply ask in the system local chat (Arnon / Hek / Hatakani): “Newbie running SOE Arc needs a hand breaking Dagan’s tank.” Veteran capsuleers will frequently warp in with combat battlecruisers and delete Dagan within 10 seconds just to help a rookie out!

Choosing Your Final Empire Standing Reward

In Mission 51, you choose between four faction commanders to deliver Dagan into custody:

  • Commander Kestrel: Grants standing with the Caldari State.
  • Commander Harvan: Grants standing with the Amarr Empire.
  • Commander Avesa: Grants standing with the Gallente Federation.
  • Commander Krinto: Grants standing with the Minmatar Republic.

This standing reward does not cause negative derived standing penalties with opposing empires, making it the cleanest way in New Eden to unlock Level 2 and Level 3 mission agents!
